The Cover

Harry Potter is thrilled to begin year two at Hogwarts, and see his two best friends, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, especially how the whole summer break he’s been tortured by the Dursley’s, his mean aunt and uncle. But when a mysterious creature comes and warns him that if he returns to Hogwarts for the school year, disaster will strike.

And strike it does, with unwanted attention from Ron’s younger sister (Ginny), a self-involved celebrity Professor, and a ghost named Moaning Myrtle who haunts the girl’s bathroom, and just like all of the other Harry Potter books, this year is anything but uneventful.

Definitely lived up to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s/philosopher’s Stone.  I would say this one is on the better side of Harry Potter books, but you really can’t compare them to each other because they are all so good.

Warning: The penultimate (2nd to last) chapter may be to scary for kids in 2nd and 3rd grade. No explicit content.

Hello again, fellow Potter-heads! I know its been a while since I’ve done a HP book review. I read the first one and then got caught up with other books.

My favorite part was when the golden trio (Harry, Ron, and Hermione) devised the plan to create the Polyjuice Potion and then sneak into the Slytherin dormitory to see if Draco was The Heir of Slytherin. It makes me wish that I was a witch and attended Hogwarts (or Illvemorny, since I’m american). Well, you know, without the whole Voldemort thing. Without Albus Dumbledore, the place is complete kasos.

My favorite character is still Ron. Though out of the new characters introduced (Professor Lockhart, Moaning Myrtle, Dobby, and Tom Riddle) is Dobby. I can’t wait to see what will happen now that Harry freed him from the Malfoys.

Let’s Chit Chat

  1. Ahhhh! Reading Harry Potter for the first time. BEST FEELING EVER. I wish I coukd exoerience that thrill OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!! 😍😍

That polyjuice part was my favorite one too. 😁It’s just that every scene with Draco adds a certain excitement and tension, doesn’t it?? I remember fangirling about Draco when I first read the books and then watched the movies. 😂😂

Oh and before I go, Katie, you have a GORGEOUS BLOG here. 😍😍LOOOOOOVE IT. ❤❤❤
